PixoPop Kids is live! So we finally did it.  We launched an online store targeted to parents that would like something hip, fun and exciting to decorate their kids rooms with.  Choose from different types of paper, and hundereds of Frame options.

The artwork is amazing created for pixopop kids by some of the most talented artists in the world- duzty from duzty graphics was hired to create the first 100 characters this year and his passion and love for art shows through in every single piece.  We’ll be displaying art by Zeptonne and Darren Ward and myself Ali Sabet soon! So keep checking! And support our love and passion for art!

Peace!

TROLLKILLER1.jpg

So we’ve been having a heck of a lot of trouble on mojizu.com with trolls. Trolls are members that create fake accounts to distrupt other members and they are trying to destroy the sites morale.

So to get rid of them, I created Trollkilla! Check him out here! and Start creating your own version of TrollKillaz!

Meat & Potatoes

By Sabet
May 10th, 2007

http://www.duzty.com/pictures/lifedrawing.gif- Yeah, I know… You’re going “What the devil is that?!?” Well, I came across something that should have been an available option online long before we artists knew we needed it constantly. After a good two to four years of life drawing, how many chances do we have in finding moments to brush up and refine those basic skills? Well thanks to this little Japanese site I came across, I may never have to worry about losing my ability to create the human form. Pose Maniacs has created a flash site, that tests your life drawing skills, from beginner to advanced. Shown only in the muscular form, these act as a simple guide to studying the human for drawing and design. These are timed poses, that give a chance to sharpen your knowledge and strengthen any weakness you may have. And of course, no artist will deny a refresher every now and again. I apologize if there is only one link on here, but you guys happen to come across another version or idea behind this smart tool, please let me know…

Since Mojizu has been rolling out some great ideas from so many artists, now is the time to take what you all have learned and try for that next step!! But remeber, this is vector based characters only… i.e. Illustrator, Corel, Freehand… IF you just managed a copy of CS3, don’t left is just collect dust… put it to it’s full potential!! I hope to you see one you guys make it in… alongside myself… Oh, that would be nice!!

Gut Busting…

By Sabet
April 25th, 2007

- Okay, this guy may seem to be a little squeemish, but I think it’s a cute way to learn too… Gnagno is a new plush pet, which you can open up to play with his little plush insides too. He got the majors… intestines, liver, lungs, brain, and heart… which is played alot into an interesting concept here. This is the type of toy you help children learn a little with, but they have something they can hug and sleep with, and all sorts of stuff… I dunno, I really am growing attached to this idea… Check it out!!

Sigg Jones

By Sabet
April 23rd, 2007

- Yes, this has been popping up in many places… and yet, I still can’t help but watch it over and over again… Sigg Jones is the work of several students at the animation school Supinfocom… a place known to belt out some high-class works. What stands out in “Jones” is sharp character creation and animation… interwoven with video game style action. Almost feels like two vinyl characters brought to life… All I can say is… LOVED IT, LOVED IT, LOVED IT!! … And now, I think I will watch it again…

His preorder looks to wrap up around the end of this month, but you all still have time to get in on this amazing looking shirt!! Here a quick snip from the page…

With Monkey Junkie, you’ll never have to explain your passion again, we say it for you!! You will now have the ability to find others who share in you craving of monkeys also. And finally, each Monkey Junkie comes with your own monkey… No more long, lingering goodbyes at the zoo!

10 Second Start Up

By Sabet
April 17th, 2007

http://duzty.com/pictures/machine.gif- Another call has gone out, with no time to spare in the creation. Machines is an animated jam session sponsered by the Toronto Animated Image Society. In the TAIS Anijam, one must complete a ten second animation between April 13th and May 15th, using whatever they wish to use, representing their ideal of the topic of machines. All one needs to do is head over to their site, fill out the submission form, and get animating… no fees apply! Yeah, it might take some work, but I think this is another great opportunity to give yourself something to create, and enter for a little more street cred… Head on out there!!
